It’s the most expensive time of the Year! With holidays flowing back to back it’s easy to feel as though you can’t reach your money goals. However who said you have to spend a ton of money on gifts. I’m all about being practical and staying within my budget so that I can still reach my money goals. If you’re here reading this post I’m guessing you must feel the same way.
But I do want to play devils advocate for a second, I know there are many people who are saying don’t buy anyone a gift or just get them a card however nothing can replace the memory of getting someone who you love a gift that they really appreciate. You can always make more money, but when if your loved one goes away you can’t create new memories. Plus Christmas comes once a year if this year you felt as if you were scrambling to find cash for gifts, try using Rize to plan ahead for saving for next year. You can learn more about the benefits of using Rize to save here.
Anyway just my two cents, today I’m sharing 7 practical and affordable gifts for her that won’t break your budget (These gifts may or may not be things that I actually have on my Christmas gift list)
#1 Get her a good book to read
“All the keys to your future success, lay in the past experience of others. ” Do you know why I love reading? Because someone else took their years of experience and hard earned money to package their knowledge into a book that costs me $20 bucks. Heck yes, sign me up. Anything you want to learn and know someone has already gone through it and written a book on the blue print of how to do it. If you want to be successful you must be a lover of knowledge and learning. Two books that are on my Christmas list are:
Soar!: Build Your Vision from the Ground Up “Too often we remain in jobs that stifle our souls and leave us on the runway of opportunity with the engine of our deepest passion stalled, watching others make their personal vision a reality and build a legacy for their children-the opposite of what God intends for us. But it’s never too late to get your dreams off the ground! ”
The second book on the list is: The Subtle art of not giving a fu*# by Mark Manson. “There are only so many things we can give a f**k about so we need to figure out which ones really matter, Manson makes clear. While money is nice, caring about what you do with your life is better, because true wealth is about experience. ”
#2 The best way for a woman to start her day is with a goal.
“By failing to prepare, you are preparing to fail.” I love productivity planners, and journals because I enjoy writing out my daily goals plus it’s fun to check them off as I accomplish them throughout the day. I find that if I don’t plan my day that my day just gets away from me. Trust me you sleep better at night when you’ve written down your goals and have made daily progress each day. If you haven’t gotten in the habit of goal setting now is the perfect time and I have the perfect planner to help you get started. The Productivity Planner.
# 3 Like Money in the bank a woman can never have too many lipsticks. (Or maybe they can, but just roll with me)
Lately I’ve been loving Maybelline lipsticks I always find myself running out and buying more. They have a ton of different shades to choose from from neutral colors to mattes.
#4 Grab her some shampoo and conditioner
As a woman with natural hair it’s important to find great hair products that work for my coils. I’ve fallen in love with Cream of Natures Shampoo and conditioner it feels amazing on my hair and a little bit really goes a long way. This hair combo was also on my birthday wish list (Shout out to all the Leos) and now I’m starting to run out, so I will have to re-up myself soon. Unless my mom is currently reading this and then maybe I won’t have to : ) Seriously get you some!
#5. Face cleaning brush
I was at Macy’s a few weeks ago and one of their employees makeup looked really smooth. She told me it was because she started using a face cleaning brush and will never go back to using a wash cloth. I was just about sold on buying one for myself until I saw the price tag of $149.99. I quickly put it back. However my faith has been restored because this face cleaning brush is only $$$. If you’re a woman loves wearing make up or if you’re a man shopping for a woman who loves wearing make up this brush will help exfoliate the skin and remove the dead layer. Which in turn will allow your other beauty products to work better. Add this brush to your Amazon cart if you’re still looking for a gift!
#6. Everyone love fluffy slippers and socks
There’s just something about sliding your feet into a warm comfy pair of slippers or socks as you relax around the house, especially during the winter months.
# 7 A non toxic sweet smelling candle
A coconut wax candle is on my Christmas wish list because at night time when I’m unwinding for the day I like to shut off the lights, turn on some smooth relaxing music (Usually Solonge), and light a candle. It’s just the perfect way to end your day. So if your lady is into candles and relaxation this is the perfect gift. Be sure that it’s a natural candle or else it’s filled with toxic and you don’t want to breath that in.
Those are my 7 affordable gifts to get her. What are some items on your Christmas wish list this year? Let me know!
