Here are Young Yet Wise I’m not about eating beans and rice everyday to reach your money goals. I want to help you realistically reach your money goals while still being able to enjoy your life. That’s what today’s post is about how to budget for brunches and Ubers because you can still have some fun while reaching your money goals you just have to be sure to plan for it.
Know how much money you need to pay yourself and pay all your bills each month
After you know how much you pay monthly to yourself, and for your bills like rent, Sallie Mae, your cell phone and groceries you should have extra money left over. (and if you don’t you may have to pick up a side hustle for some extra cash) That extra money can be used for fun whether it’s for brunching or for vacation this is your choice. Need a step by step breakdown on how to create your budget you can check out my budgeting like a boss guide or my how to pay off debt fast class which goes over budgeting as well.
Once you’ve given yourself a set amount of money for fun and it’s gone dassit
When the Remy’s in the system ain’t no tellin if i’ma stick to my budget. Lol This is a tune that many people are singing because once you’ve had a few drinks it’s easy to convince yourself that you can keep swiping your card. Even if you’re already over your fun money. To help with this maybe try only using cash when you go out and once that cash is gone dassit beloved. You must keep your goals in mind because remember when you go over your allocated money for fun you are cutting into another one of your goals.
Keep it real with your friends
If you really can’t afford the Uber let your friends know, or don’t even bother bringing up taking an Uber when you know your budget is telling that you need to take public transportation. There is no shame in keeping it real with your friends because if they’re your real friend they will understand that you have other goals that you’re trying to reach. If you don’t have any friends in your life that will cheer you on and keep you accountable to your money goals I created the Young Yet Wise Society membership just for you check it out.
Earn extra cash with Uber
If you need to make some extra cash to add more money to your budget for your money goals you could drive for Uber or even deliver meals to people in your neighborhood with Uber eats. What’s great about Uber eats is that you don’t even need a car to sign up and deliver food. Once you sign up all you have to do is grab your car, bike or scooter login to the app begin accepting food delivery requests, pick up the food and drop it off. Then boom money is in your account. Give Uber eats a try today.
If you haven’t already sat down and created your monthly budget be sure to do so. It’s not a one and done kind of thing, you have to work at it weekly or at least look at it to make sure you’re on track. Give your self some room to have fun money each month or you will go crazy once that allotted fun money is gone you have to wait until the next month to re-up. Also if you find ways to make more money you could use that extra money to have more fun, but you could also use to to save more, invest more, and pay off your debt faster.
