I know you’re tired of your normal routine and you been wanting to take a much needed vacation.
As you should you work hard and you deserve some time to relax and rejuvenate.
You also don’t want to break the bank, and I’m right there with ya.
I was able to save $227 to use as part of my spending money for my trip to Barbados, without even feeling it by using Digit.
“Digit is an app that strives to make saving money as passive as possible. To do this, Digit analyzes your income and spending patterns, and then automatically dips into your checking account and puts a few dollars into a savings account (typically $2-$17 every 2-3 days).”
I’ve created a video about my vacation below, and I also talk money about my new app that’s helping me save more money. If you’ve been struggling when it comes to the saving department I would recommend signing up for an app that helps you do it automatically. I’ve broken up with Digit and now I’m saving with Rize find out why here.
Even if you’re not thinking about taking a vacation, you still need to save money. According to USA today:
“Nearly 7 in 10 Americans have less than $1,000 in savings”
Is it safe to keep my money with Digit?
Yes Digit is safe and secure. “All funds are FDIC insured up to $250,000” Digit Faqs
Can I transfer my money out anytime I want?
Absolutely. You are able to transfer your money during any time of the month, all you have to do is send a text message saying withdraw and then the app will ask you show much money you would like to withdraw. The next day they money will be transferred back to your original bank account.
The only concern that people may have is that their money isn’t growing much interest by using Digit, but let’s face it your money isn’t growing much interest by using a Bank of American account either. Unless you’re using an online bank like Alley, or Cap One it’s tough to get any interest on your money. Which is why it’s a great idea to start investing your money. I talk more about how to start investing in my investing for beginners book here if you’re interested.
