Even though the holidays are supposed to be a happy time they can be sad for many people for different reasons. On a recent episode of This is Us there was a scene where Rebecca talked about how when you lose someone close to you even the happiest moments are a little sad. I can relate to this because I lost my dad in 2016. when you lose a loved one it can be tough adjusting to life without that person and only relying on old memories that you have together.
In my latest video I’m sharing 3 affirmations you can say to yourself to shake off the holiday blues and get back to your positive vibes. There’s something for everyone in this video whether you’ve lost a family member, friend, or just aren’t quite as far as you thought you would be when you set your goals last year you can repeat these affirmations to yourself to get back on track.
Affirmation #1 The trials that i’m facing right now are only temporary and leading me to where I”m supposed to be victory is inescapable.
Sometimes the trials in our life try to bring us down and stop us from accomplishing our goals. When bad things happen we can either quit and give up or use that grief to push us towards greatness and make your loved ones who have passed proud.
Affirmation #2 Despite what’s going on in the world it’s possible to achieve my dreams and goals I have all the tools that I need I’m well equipped for the things that I need and for the things that I don’t need I will figure them out I will run into the right people on my path that will help me.
Sometimes we are searching for so much information through blog posts, social media, books and courses that we forget we need to take a minute and trust ourselves. There are answers inside of you and if you keep filling your brain with so many thoughts of others how will you hear your inner voice. There was this quote that I read that said “success is more about doing the things you know you should do rather than learning the secrets that you don’t even know yet.”
Affirmation #3 I am thankful I am loved and I have more than enough I have more than enough.
This affirmation is so comforting it allows you to take a moment from your busy noisy life and appreciate this moment. Being thankful for what you have and being proud of how far you’ve come. We we are always searching and striving for more, but it’s important to appreciate where you are.
These are three affirmations that I hope you will incorporate into your life. Having a belief that what you want to accomplish is possible and that you’re on the right path is so powerful. Remember your loved ones and ancestors are rooting for you to win, don’t let them down use grief to fuel you not slow you down.
What’s your favorite affirmation to start your day?
It’s important to build a support system for the tough times, but as well as the good times Which is why I created the Young Yet Wise Society for when things don’t go as planned in your life you have a support system and an accountability group to fall back on for support.
