Warm weather is approaching and if you set your new years resolution to get in shape back in January yet you feel like you’ve feel off the bandwagon no worries. This post is going to help you save money by doing these clever 5 outdoor workouts. That’s right you can still workout even if you don’t have a gym membership.
It was all a dream I use to crave bagels and cream cheese. Bread and pasta and don’t forget about the rice and beans. Stashing candy in my drawers, every Saturday eating fast food from the food courts at the mall….
There’s no magical pill or special drink or wrap that’s going to make you lose weight. If you want to lose weight here’s the secret — eat right and exercise! According to business insider Approximately 72.5 million American adults are obese. Obesity is one of the factors causing heart disease, stroke, and diabetes. If you haven’t been eating healthy and working out then it’s time start making some changes. Today my friend Jonathan and I are going to go over a few fitness exercises and tips to help you get started on the journey to a better you. Ready?
• Pull yourself together, and grow some discipline. Spare me with the complaints. Working out for an hour either in the morning or the afternoon only takes up 4% of your day. Worried you’re going to miss your favorite show? That’s what the record button is for.
• Drink lots of water! Screw soda and the rest of those sugary toxic drinks.
• Low carbs! Sorry to burst your bubble but that Chipotle burrito is not healthy. You won’t begin to see results until you change your eating habits.
• Take your cookies, candies, and chips and throw them in the trash can and replace them with delicious fruits and vegetables.
• Almonds are cool as a snack between meals.
• Forget diamonds squats are a girls best friend. Now let’s get started with this workout!
Cardio is very important if you’re trying to lose weight (especially if you want to get that flat stomach). If you run for at least 15-20 mins you can burn between 150- 300 calories. You want to do cardio to get your blood flowing and start burning calories. You can either use the elliptical, run, jog, do jumping jacks or any circuit of movements with high repetitions.
Triceps bench dips- Starters you should do 10 reps 3 sets. With30 secs-1 min of rest in between sets. This exercise is great for the back of your arms especially if you’re looking for toning. Tank top season is still in session.
Ab Crunch- For starters 3-5 sets of 3 sets of 10-15 reps. With 30 secs-1 min of rest in between sets. This exercise is to defining the top of your abdominal muscle. Be sure to squeeze your abs at all times. Breath in at starting position and breath out in the crunching position. Very important to breath!
Hip Raises- For starters 3-5 sets of 3 sets of 10-15 reps. With 30 secs-1 min of rest in between sets. This exercise is to help you define the lower part of your abs. For this exercise be sure to squeeze your abs at all times. This will help tighten your abdominal muscles making the exercise more effective.
Lunges- For starters 3-5 sets with of 10-15 reps. Making sure to rest in between sets (30 secs-1 min). In order to do a proper lunge you have to make sure you keep your back straight and keep your knee behind your big toe. For a more intense lunge feel free to hold some dumbbells in each hand.
Squats-For starters 3-5 sets with of 10-15 reps. Making sure to rest in between sets (30 secs-1 min). Squats work several muscles. Keep your back straight, your feet shoulder-width apart and bend your knees and lower your butt as if you were sitting down in a chair. To add more intensity to this exercise you can add dumbbells or even try jump squats which is a good cardiovascular workout.
