Life is a process. We are all a work in progress. Your life is still loading. Even though this website is called Young Yet Wise, we’re still learning, growing and improving. None of us have all of the answers. None of us are perfect. As we grow and learn, we will make mistakes. This is part of the process and it’s ok. As long as you learn from your mistakes and not repeat them over and over again. This only happens when you are not learning from it. If you don’t like the way your life has been going, you can change it. You can press the reset button at any time. If you are trying to enter into a new place in your life, you have to enter it with a new mindset. You don’t have to wait until January 1st to make new resolutions. Every new day gives you another opportunity to make a change.
“People are afraid to pursue their most important dreams, because they feel that they don’t deserve them, or that they’ll be unable to achieve them.” – Paulo Coelho, The Alchemist.
Where have your thoughts been taking you? Are your thoughts taking you on victory road? Or I can accomplish all things boulevard? What you think about sets the path of your life. People let intimidation paralyze them into not taking the first step. It’s not enough to just think about your goals, you have to believe in yourself. Even if you’re not there yet, even if things don’t look good, you have to have faith and see your goals accomplished even if they aren’t at this present moment. Don’t look at the large task at hand, or else you will get overwhelmed and you could end up not taking any steps toward your goals at all. The last thing you want to become is stagnant. This applies to trying to lose weight, getting your homework done or even setting goals for your business. You have to really just take it one day at a time. People say you can learn a lot from your mistakes, however it you never take any action at all, you’ll never make a mistake.
I understand change doesn’t happen overnight. As long as you have your goals set up and are taking action to reach them, then you are on your way to success. Knowledge is power, but without a practical plan of action, it’s useless.
If you don’t have a concrete laid out plan for things you want to accomplish each week or each month, then time will pass by. You’ll realize a month has passed by, or maybe a year and you still haven’t taken any action. Why, because you haven’t written it down and rehearsed each day what the following steps should be to get you to your goal.
If you stay on track, you will make it across the finish line and when you do, you have more confidence in yourself and your ability to get things done. There are many obstacles in life that will try to stop you from achieving your goals, you shouldn’t be one of them.
